Alma ClearVein is a long-pulse vascular laser treatment designed to reduce the appearance of visible superficial blood vessels, spider veins, broken capillaries, and other vascular lesions. It is a non-surgical treatment that targets unwanted vessels while minimising impact on the surrounding skin.

The ClearVein laser delivers controlled infrared light energy into the targeted vessel. The energy is absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin within the blood vessel, causing the vessel walls to heat and gradually collapse. Over time, the body naturally clears the treated vessel. For smaller vessels, facial redness, and broken capillaries, ClearVein can be combined with Dye-VL Pro technology to provide a more comprehensive vascular treatment approach.

Treatment time varies depending on the size and location of the area being treated. Most sessions take approximately 20–30 minutes.

Most clients benefit from a course of 3–6 treatments performed at intervals of 3–4 weeks. The number of treatments required depends on the size, depth, and severity of the vascular concern, as well as individual response to treatment.

Downtime is generally minimal. Following treatment, some clients experience temporary redness, swelling, warmth, or mild bruising in the treated area. These effects typically settle within a few days. Most people can return to normal daily activities immediately, although strenuous exercise, excessive heat exposure, and heavy lifting may be best avoided for a short period following treatment.

As with any laser treatment, there are potential risks and side effects. Common temporary effects include redness, swelling, mild bruising, tenderness, and temporary darkening of the treated vessel. Less commonly, blistering, prolonged redness, changes in skin pigmentation, or incomplete vessel clearance can occur. The likelihood of side effects can be reduced by following all pre- and post-treatment instructions provided by your practitioner.
