Skin cancer

If you notice any changes to your skin such as flakiness, mole colour change, lumps or soreness, you can get it checked at Dermagen Clinic.

Skin cancer most often develops on skin exposed to the sun but can also occur on areas of your skin not ordinarily exposed to sunlight, such as between your toes, the soles of your feet or palms of your hand.

There are three common types of skin cancer — basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and melanoma.

Basal cell carcinoma may appear as:

  • A pearly or waxy bump

  • A flat, flesh-coloured or brown scar-like lesion

  • A bleeding or scabbing sore that heals and returns.

Squamous cell carcinoma may appear as:

  • A firm, red nodule

  • A flat lesion with a scaly, crusted surface.

Melanoma signs include:

  • A large brownish spot with darker speckles

  • A mole that changes in colour, size or feel or that bleeds

  • A small lesion with an irregular border and portions that appear red, pink, white, blue or blue-black

  • A painful lesion that itches or burns

  • Dark lesions on your palms, soles, fingertips or toes.

You can reduce your risk of skin cancer by limiting or avoiding exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

Checking your skin regularly for suspicious changes can help detect skin cancer at its early stages, giving you the greatest chance for successful skin cancer treatment. Dermagen Clinic offers full body checks for our clients.

Dermagen Clinic is run by doctors, who can accurately diagnose skin cancer and refer you to the right treatment option for your requirements.

Mole removal is a medical procedure that involves the removal of a mole from the skin. Moles, also known as nevi, are typically benign growths on the skin that are usually brown or black in color. While most moles are harmless, some individuals may choose to have them removed for cosmetic reasons or if there are concerns about potential health risks.

It's important to note that mole removal should be performed by a qualified medical professional. Our doctors will be able to assess the mole and determine the most appropriate method for removal, considering factors such as the size, location, and type of mole.

We perform medical skin checks  and RF skin excision to deliver scar-free and painless treatments that are effective.
