Consultations and Medications

Specific blood tests will be arranged. If you have had any recent blood tests, you are encouraged to bring them to the consultation so we can best understand your overall health.

Causes of hair loss
Hair loss can occur for a variety of reasons. The most common causes included hereditary alopecia and hormonal hair loss. These are also known as male pattern baldness (MPB) and female pattern hair loss (FPHL). Sometimes, however, there can be underlying pathology. These include nutritional deficiencies, thyroid dysfunction, post-partum hair loss, autoimmune factors, hair shaft trauma, chemotherapy and emotional stress. Alopecia areata, is an example of an autoimmune condition which can persist for years if untreated.
Our initial consultation is complimentary or billed directly to Medicare.
