Acne treatment programs for acne and scarred skin
Blue LED light therapy forms the basis of our scientifically-proven acne treatment. Combined with microdermabrasion, the specialised light reacts with the bacteria that breed acne and destroys it while leaving your skin unharmed. A thorough consultation with our therapist will determine the most effective acne program for you.
Depending on the severity of the acne, Dermagen Clinic offers three types of treatment programs among other tailored programs:
- Acne program
3 microdermabrasions and 8 blue/red light therapy treatments.
- Photo-dynamic acne program
3 microdermabrasions and 4 ALA enhanced blue/red light therapy treatments.
- Supplementary acne program
(available only after completion of the above acne treatment programs)
2 microdermabrasions and 4 ALA enhanced blue/red light therapy treatments.
Clinical acne facials and peels
Our glycolic and lactic peel treatments contain a high percentage of glycolic acid, lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acids. Each treatment is ideal for early to mild acne skins to help restore roughness, dryness and a smoother texture to give back that natural glow to the skin.
Paramedical skin treatments
Our range of paramedical skin treatments are individually tailored to treat acne, light acne scarring, congested skin or blackheads.
Six layer peel
An intensive resurfacing procedure for those wanting dramatic results. It uses a superior blend of plant and fruit sugar acids, applied systematically in layers. The result – dramatically different skin, free from acne and scars.

Photo-dynamic therapy
This treatment combines blue and/or red light therapy with a substance called ALA which reduces the activity of subaceous glands thereby reducing skin oiliness. This type of therapy is successful in the treatment of severe acne.
